Lagoon Beach Hotel

Lagoon Beach Hotel is one of the four wedding venues which makes out our stable of wedding and event venues.

Lagoon Beach hotel is located on the beach in Milnerton. The hotel has the capacity to host elope weddings and weddings of up to 250 guests.

Lagoon Beach Hotel is ideally located on the soft sands of Milnerton beach next to Woodbridge Island and is the only 4 star, luxury hotel with breathtaking views of both Table Mountain and the ocean in the Milnerton area.

The hotel offers direct beach access and is perfect for beach weddings and pool deck ceremonies. Lagoon Beach is a trendy and elegant wedding setting with luxurious views, extraordinary cuisine and phenomenal service.

Lagoon Beach offers a wide range of venues, from intimate to larger ceremonies as well as wedding receptions in-doors or alfresco. We pride ourselves in offering clients excellent food, great service and a memorable day. As an added value service the hotel has employed the services of Quintessential Weddings to assist clients with the coordination of their perfect day.
There is no additional charge for the wedding planning service and we will also ensure that there is a professional wedding coordinator on duty on your Big Day to ensure that everything runs
smoothly.
Special accommodation rates are available for wedding guests attending the wedding and can be booked with the wedding coordinator. The hotel also boasts a luxurious in-house spa where pamper sessions can be booked. The Spa also offers special bridal packages.

Should you book your wedding reception at Lagoon Beach Hotel the venue hire fee includes the following;
_ Round tables
_ Chairs (standard conference chairs - no chair covers)
_ White table cloths
_ White napkins
_ Crockery, cutlery and glassware
_ One nights complimentary stay for the wedding couple
_ Waiters and barmen
_ Free undercover parking for the wedding guests

Tying the knot at Lagoon Beach Hotel

· Venue hire prices are for venue hire only and includes standard chairs and a table for
the signing of the register
· Beach ceremony venue hire includes a municipal permit
· Any décor, flowers, music, entertainment or additional security is for the clients account
· Ceremony venues are available for a maximum of 3 hours only
· All outdoor ceremony venues is booked with a back up venue at the hotel’s discretion and
subject to availability in case of inclement weather at the hotel’s discretion
· The hotel reserves the right to make a weather call 3 hours before the ceremony and
move a ceremony indoors should the wind or weather not be favourable for an out door
ceremony and no negotiation will be entered into
· Only clients hosting their reception at the hotel are permitted to have a ceremony on the
premises or on the beach adjacent to the hotel.
· Unfortunately Lagoon Beach Hotel does not host ceremonies only. Clients must have
their wedding reception at the hotel as well.

Wedding reception venues

· Please note that all our venues apart from the Abalone Restaurant are carpeted.
· Dance floors can be hired in at an additional charge. Please contact our wedding
coordinator for a quotation.
· Venue hire EXCLUDES any décor, flowers, music, dance floors, entertainment, other linen
than listed below. Feel free to
· Contact our wedding coordinator with regards to quotation on any of the above.
· No external catering is allowed
· No beverages is allowed apart from wine and sparkling wines for which there is a corkage
charge
· The Abalone restaurant is available from 11:00 until 24:00 only
· The venue will be available for breakfast, lunch or dinner in the following time slots:
Breakfast weddings 08:00 until 14:00
Lunch weddings 08:00 until 18:00
Dinner/ dance weddings from 11:00 until 24:00
After the specified cut off time a management fee of R1000.00 will be levied until breakdown has commenced.

Standard Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions is seen as an addendum to our contractual agreement with clients upon confirming the booking and is subject to change.

· Please note that venue hire fees are for venue hire only.
· These prices are valid until 01 April 2010
· The hotel provides the tables (round), conference chairs, cutlery, crockery and glassware
as well as white table cloths and white napkins. Any other linen (chair covers, tie backs,
overlays, cloths, runners etc) is for the clients account.
· Dance floors, décor, food and beverage is charged separately.
· Deposit – R5 000.00 non refundable deposit required to secure the booking, should your
deposit not reflect or be made on time as stipulated by the wedding coordinator the date
will be released without notification.
· Cancellation policy - as mentioned above the R5 000.00 deposit is non refundable. Should
the function be cancelled six months before the actual function date a 100% cancellation
fee will be levied on the full amount of the total invoice.
· The balance of the invoice is due 14 working days before the function. The hotel reserves
the right to cancel all bookings should the balance not be paid.
· These amounts exclude all additional expenses such as room service, spa treatments,
laundry etc.
· All additional expenses incurred are to be settled in full, prior to departure on the day of
checking out of the hotel. With regards to cheque payments only bank guaranteed
cheques will be accepted as payment.
· Corkage will only be charged for bottles opened and can only be billed after the function @
R55.00 per 750ml units and only wine and sparkling wine is allowed – NO SPIRITS,
BEERS, CIDERS OR COLDDRINKS.
· 10% gratuity on the final food and beverage account
· The Lagoon Beach Hotel takes no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury to client,
their guests or any of their belongings
· Prices (food and beverage) are subject to change and no negotiation will be entered into
· Items delivered by the client for the function is the clients responsibility
· Should any items be left at the hotel the onus rests on the client to ensure that these items
are collected within 12 hours after the completion of the function. The hotel takes no
responsibility for any loss or damages thereof.


The Peninsula All-Suite Hotel will be hosting it's 5th annual bridal fair and workshop on 19 September 2009 in conjunction with Quintessential Weddings and Events.


This is a two fold event with an exhibition area where wedding related service providers can exhibit their services and products as well as sell items. There is also a section for brides-gone-by to sell their wedding gowns.


The other side is the wedding workshop where brides-and-grooms-t0-be come together for a workshop on how to plan their wedding. Each attendee will receive a goodie bag, light lunch and wedding planning material. Various service providers will be speaking on planning your wedding day and what pitfalls to look out for.

Sam and Suzi is a great couple based in the UK who after many years decided to tie the knot in Cape Town, South Africa. Suzi's best friend, Vickie, and myself put together the wedding for them and their 11 friends, most of them from abroad.

We are really excited about the month of May! We have a new staff member, Lauren, starting with us and we are entering the planning phase for the next year - where we are, where we are going and how we are going to get there. We have the annual Peninsula Bridal Fair and Workshop ahead as well as brand new production - Audio, visual bridal expo at the Lagoon Beach hotel. This is aimed at the grooms and tech orientated brides. This is a bridal expo with a difference and will not bore the gents!


We are also expanding our business with an inhouse florist and decor division and on-line retail section to boot. We are also launching our new wedding planning file by the end of this year in conjunction with Candy Cane, headed up by a great designer - Candice Rodrigues.


I am also going on maternity leave soon to prepare for our new arrival, Rebecca.

Welcome!

After much debate and many requests we have decided to publish a blog with ideas and suggestions for weddings and events. We also thought it good to ad recent weddings and events to show off our clients and work.
